The North County Recreation Complex houses the regulation size skating rink and a four sheet curling rink. The skating arena operates from the beginning of October until the end of March. The Town of Picture Butte maintains the skating arena while the Picture Butte Curling Club operates the curling side. For general inquiries about renting the arena please call the Town Office. The ice schedule can be found on picturebutte.activityreg.com
Adjacent to the Complex is the outdoor Swimming Pool. In Lion's Park across the street is the outdoor arena that is flooded during the winter months for use as a skating rink.

Turin 4-H Club has sponsored Sunday public skate for the entire 2024 ice season. Thank you Turin 4-H for your generous donation! Come skate on Sundays for free!
The Town's new electric Olympia arrived at the end of the 2023/2024 season. It was purchased through funding with Municipal Climate Change Action Centre(MCCAC) in the amount of $50,000 and generous donations from Serfas Farms and Schooten & Sons Feedyards that both donated close to $60,000 each.
