Prairie Tractor & Engine Museum

The pioneer Village of Coyote Flats and the tractor and machine collections make up the Prairie Tractor and Engine Museum.

The Village of Coyote Flats has 3 houses, train station, garage, post office, church, school, butcher shop, barn, fire station, NWMP Outpost Jail and many more unique buildings. A school program is run in May and June of each year where students can experience pioneer life through school lessons and guided tours of the Museum.

The tractor and machine collections consist of antique tractors and an extensive collection of farming equipment. Many have been restored and operate during the Parade of Power.

The Warren Kleeman Hall can be rented for reunions, weddings and other occasions. Call 403-732-4553 for information.

Brief History

In 1982, Murray Burton, Evan Evans, Norm Richards, Ray Pearse and Duane Dunn met to discuss the hobby of collecting and restoring antique tractors and farm machinery. Later that year they formed the "Prairie Tractor and Engine Club". The first Threshing Show was held in Turin in 1983. The present site was purchased from Roelof Heinen in 1987, where the collections and village have grown steadily.
